April Full Pink Moon - Full Moon Celebration

Monday, April 10, 2017 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm

We’ll meet at the Fire-Circle at the Fellowship. Join us as we welcome Springtide by celebrating the Pink Moon!

Our focus for this month’s full moon will be on “planting new seeds” in the realm of Spirit so that we can manifest our dreams in our life. This is a time of faith and fearlessness: we plant seeds knowing that they will bear fruit – as above, so below.

* Dressing in layers is recommended (weather can be fickle), bring a chair, drums & shakers, and anything you would like to charge on the altar.

* Please bring snacks to share, and a personal beverage for après circle.

Humanist Group

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 7:00 pm

Topic: Immigration 101. Katia Hansen, President & CEO of “our” UURISE (Unitarian Universalist Refugee and Immigrant Services and Education) will give us an introduction to the ways that someone can immigrate to the U.S., how people come without documents, and how someone who comes with documents becomes undocumented, and some of the push and pull factors that create immigration, the foreign and domestic policy decisions that create the push and pull factors, etc.

Future meetings will get more in depth on the topic, and update on Executive Orders, potential legislation, and the direct impact they are seeing on clients.

UURISE provides affordable, trustworthy legal immigration counseling, representation and resettlement services to marginalized immigrants and refugees, and presents educational advocacy to the larger community. For more information see their website: http://uurise.org/
