Anyone may attend C-CAT Meetings. Committee Chairs are required to attend C-CAT meetings. Team Leaders are encouraged to attend. Attendance by Activity contact persons is optional. Shelter Helpers prepare and deliver home cooked meals (for 40 or 50 people) to the family shelter on Vista Way twice a month (all year around), on the first and third Wednesdays. We have two Shelter Helper teams consisting of one shopper, two or three cooks and two deliverers. People who are interested in volunteering for the family shelter are asked to join a team and participate each month for at least six months. In the winter, Palomar Fellowship also makes the extra commitment to deliver additional meals to Operation Hope, the temporary winter shelter in Vista. The winter shelter is open from December through March and meals are prepared and delivered on the same schedule as the regular Shelter Helpers - the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Interested persons can volunteer for one or several dates.
